At Humans of Code, operated by HOC Techlabs LLP, we believe in building a community where tech professionals and hiring companies can thrive, learn, and grow together. Our curated hiring service, training programs, and job coaching services depend on maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and mutual respect.

These guidelines help us maintain a space that is welcoming, respectful, trustworthy, and valuable for everyone—whether you're a developer seeking opportunities, a company looking to hire exceptional talent, or a participant in our training and coaching programs. By using our Services, you agree to follow these guidelines and help us create a positive environment for all members.

Be Respectful and Kind

Treat all community members with respect, regardless of their background, experience level, or opinions.

Examples:

  • Be patient with beginners and those learning new skills

Foster Collaboration

Help create an environment where everyone can learn, grow, and succeed together.

  • Celebrate others' achievements and milestones

Maintain Authenticity

Be honest and authentic in your interactions. Misrepresentation undermines trust in our community.

Examples:

  • Provide accurate information in your profile
  • Be truthful about your skills and experience
  • Don't impersonate others or create fake accounts

Communicate Professionally

Maintain professional standards in all communications, whether public or private.

Examples:

  • Use clear, professional language in messages
  • Stay on topic in discussions and forums
  • Avoid spam, self-promotion, or off-topic content

Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are not allowed in our community and may result in account suspension or termination:

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
  • Discriminatory language or behavior based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics
  • Providing false or misleading information in profiles, resumes, assessments, or applications
  • Sharing false information about job opportunities, employers, or company details
  • Posting spam, promotional content, or irrelevant material
  • Attempting to circumvent platform security, verification processes, or technical assessments
  • Cheating on technical assessments or skill evaluations
  • Sharing confidential assessment data, interview questions, or proprietary information
  • Creating multiple accounts or impersonating others
  • Attempting to bypass our curated hiring process or contact candidates/companies directly to avoid fees
  • Engaging in any illegal activities or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Ghosting scheduled interviews or failing to communicate professionally

Reporting and Enforcement

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it to our team immediately. We take all reports seriously and will investigate them promptly, confidentially, and impartially.

Include specific details, screenshots (if applicable), and any relevant context to help us investigate effectively.

Enforcement actions may include:

  • Written warnings and guidance on expected behavior
  • Temporary suspension of account or service access
  • Permanent account termination for serious or repeated violations
  • Legal action in cases involving fraud, harassment, or illegal activities

The severity and frequency of violations will be considered when determining appropriate enforcement actions. Our goal is to maintain a safe, trustworthy community while being fair to all parties involved.
